This is my favorite ride because I arrive on horseback to the town where I was born; BARCO DE AVILA in Central Spain, I know every stone of the path and I never get tired of doing this ride.
I have nice chilhood memories riding with my brother and the horses Cuco and Rifeño moving my grandfather's cows.
You can't miss this ride which is the best for us after many years riding through these paths. We get a perfect ride, contrasts, spring colors, peaceful autumn, and the different landscapes during the week are amazing.
INITINERARY DAY by DAY
DAY 1º MADRID –NAVARREDONDA
Meet at Madrid airport , transfer to Navarredonda 2 hours drive .
Stop in Avila for a short visit.
Enjoy welcome dinner at National Parador of Gredos
DAY 2º NAVARREDODNA DE GREDOS- NAVACEPEDA DE TORMES
Distribution of horses will be a short day, riding through the Tormes valley. Lunch at fisherman´s hut and excellent paella .
Short afternoon to Navacepeda . Night and dinner at hotel.
DAY 3º NAVACEPEDA DE TORMES-BARCO DE AVILA
The longest day and the most beautiful views of Gredos Mountains, we will ride to the top of the valley riding through small and remote shepherd villages, Lunch at Lastra del Cano
Afternoon down the valley to Barco de Avila open valley and different landscape.
Night and dinner at hotel.
DAY 4º BARCO DE AVILA –HOYORREDONDO
We will cross the river Tormes River by the roman bridge in Barco de Avila and will go to Salamanca province, a flat and dry area
Very rural region, fields with stone walls ,where we can see farmers riding donkeys. Lunch by the river
Afternoon fast good canters. Night and dinner at a very nice rural inn
DAY 5º HOYORREDONDO- NAVACEPEDILLA DE CORNEJA
Good trots and canters in the morning by the flat Corneja River
Valley lunch beside the river
In the afternoon we will start climbing to the mountains
Night and dinner at hotel
DAY 6º NAVACEPEDILLA-NAVARREDONDA
We will climb the highest place of the ride with a magnificent view of the Alberche river valley and San Martin de la Vega , we will cross the river and continue to Tormes River valley. Lunch with the views of the Gredos Mountains . Short afternoon good canters to finish the ride.Night and dinner at National Parador of Gredos
DAY 7º Breakfast at hotel, departure at around 10 am. To be at Madrid airport at 12 pm

TRIP LENGTH All the itineraries are 6 nights 5 days riding from Sunday to Saturday ( not Gredos – Salamanca ride its 7 nights 6 days riding from Sunday to Sunday ).

HORSES excellent Hispano arabs ( andalusian arab cross) and andalusians horses ,very well trained excellent character and very easy to ride
TACK..We use English saddles with seat saver leather in excellent conditions , very confortables for horses and riders and small saddle bags
